Fire Door, Wyeth

This is one of my favorite paintings by Andrew Wyeth, called Field Hand. Is that not the greatest thing you have ever seen? Everyone has seen Christina’s World and the one with the dog sleeping on the bed, which are both great paintings, but most people haven’t seen much of his other work. He’s incredible. As I write this, I realize that I should make a full post devoted to him, so I will. At a later time.

And this is the current progress of the painting I’m working on, which is going slow because I can’t not watch the Olympics.
